The shallow reefs and rocky outcrops off the southern tip of Sal are an ideal playground for the local parrotfish, butterflyfish, rays and turtles – and you'll have a prime view from your clear kayak. You'll be matched with either a totally transparent kayak, or one with two large windows for unrestricted underwater watching. Both models seat two people, so you can share the paddle power for the hour's tour. Your guide will lead you at a gentle pace into the waters off Santa Maria Bay or Bikini Beach, where you'll drift directly above the action on the seabed, all while staying warm in the sunshine.

Just a little way from the beach we made our way up the coast line with the wind behind us pushing us along as well as paddling. The whole experience was fantastic and you don't need to be an athlete to do it. Recommend to leave any electronic equipment at the hotel. Enjoy

Great guides who really tried his best to search out sea life for us to see during the kayaking . We got to see 2 turtles ,but unfortunately my partner became sea sick and wanted to go back to shore ,which the guides also understood without hesitation.Great exercise for the arms too.

Guides were very polite and helpful showed care when trying to get in kayak. Felt like we weren't rushed or had yo keep up with then. Would recommend

Absolutely loved this experience! As a solo female traveller, I was a little nervous, but the two guides were amazing and made me feel completely at ease. Small group of just 3, great safety briefing and fantastic English. We were lucky enough to see 2 turtles pop their heads out of the water! Sadly my phone wasn't quick enough for a photo, but seeing them was incredible. Such a memorable experience I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Great experience, unfortunately my other half was ill that morning so couldn’t go, they accommodated me still. Got to see 6 sea turtles which was amazing. They prefer to put single people in a kayak together as they are twin kayaks. You should be able to paddle in slightly choppier weather. The guide went with you and will try and spot the areas with turtles so that you can then paddle over and see them.
