170 reviews

Buckle up for a nighttime adventure with the turtles on this unforgettable Boa Vista beach walk. After hotel pick up, you're heading to one of the world's top nesting beaches, where loggerhead turtles – the OG Caretta caretta – have been laying their eggs for centuries. It's not just any beach – it's the third-largest nesting spot on the planet, so you know you're in for something special.

Once you arrive, your guide will spill all the deets on these incredible creatures.
You'll get the lowdown on why Boa Vista is a turtle paradise and how the locals are working hard to keep it that way. Then comes the main event.

With the stars lighting the way, you'll stroll down to the beach with a biologist, ready to watch these amazing creatures do their thing. It's pure magic as you see the turtles nesting under the night sky – prepare to be seriously wowed. You'll then head back to camp, buzzing from the experience, before being whisked back to your hotel.

In respect of safety, we went in convoy, following an open backed vehicle. We followed too close, if the vehicle in front had to stop in an emergency or someone fell off the back into the road we would not have been able to stop! The experience was not cheap, it was value for money, but I hope some of the cost is put over by TUI to support conservation

Was not informed hour and half offroad journey to see turtles. Once arrived spent less than 35 minutes watching turtles. No guide telling us what was happening. then back on jeep for hour and half journey back. Complete waste of money

My only comment would be that it should be made clear before booking that it is a 90 minute journey each way and that it is pitch black as you walk across the beach, including over/around rocks.

Such an incredible experience! Our guide Bruno was brilliant, friendly and so knowledgeable. The journey there isn’t great… but if you can get past that, the time watching the turtles is more than worth it.

More information needs to be provided on the hour & half to and from the site, great to see the loggerhead turtle, but the journey to and from should be explained better! Sorry

The turtle watching was great, a once in a lifetime experience. How wonderful it was to be able to share the experience with a group of people who all appreciated the conservation efforts put in by those who escorted us. The journey was rather bumpy for 1 hour 35 minutes but well worth it.
