From ancient laurel forests with bubbling streams to deep palm-filled valleys and black sand beaches, La Gomera is the unsung hero of the Canary Islands. You'll take the ferry over from Tenerife to explore its verdant national park and seek out some spectacular rock formations on this 4x4 full day tour.

Once you arrive at the shores of La Gomera, the mystical lands of Garajonay National Park will be in the background as you sweep and swoop by 4x4 through valleys and forests to viewpoints. Wind your way up to Roque de Agando, the island's iconic volcanic rock formation that pierces the sky at an incredible 4,100ft-tall.

You'll take a break over a typical lunch before being treated to a Silbo whistling demonstration. Then, learn all about the island that was the bridge to discovering the New World before returning to Tenerife.

It was a shame about the weather, as we were in cloud for a good deal of the time on the island. But that's the nature of the island. When the cloud did break, the landscape was quite incredible. The guides were great, each able to speak an additional language (and probably more) and they translated to their respective groups. Lovely lunch, good vehicles and all in all, a great trip. Finally, I must mention Terry, the lead of the tour. He was quite simply excellent. Highly recommended trip.

English speaking guide was informative and caring but we were in a minibus with a driver who didn't speak English. Arriving at meeting point with others was chaos and little info given. Meal was just OK. Ferry 1 1/2 hours late so reduced time on the tour on the island. Overall tour was disappointing and very much not value for money. Would not recommend.

Our guide, Colin, was very knowledgeable about the island, as well as being very amusing and a very good driver

The truck was awful. We had the oldest and most grubby 4WD vehicle whilst the German group got the better vehicles all facing forwards for their seats. Bounced around in the back facing sideways was not nice for so many hours.
