Escorted market day in Puerto de Mogán

3.9/5
165 reviews

Canary Island beauty meets Mediterranean vibes in Puerto de Mogán. We're talking pretty plazas and whitewashed houses, where baskets of pink bougainvillaeas really make the place pop. And guess what? Our Friday trips land you right in the heart of Mercadillo, the liveliest market day in town. One of our local expert guides, Phillipe, says “you can't come to the Canary Islands without spending some time at a market like the one you'll visit on this tour. Local food, traditional souvenirs, and occasionally live music are all in one place ready for you to get stuck in to.”

You'll be picked up at your hotel and driven to Puerto de Mogán, giving you the chance to snap some Insta-worthy shots along the way. Once you arrive, you'll have plenty of free time to dive into the market. From fresh produce and local crafts to trendy fashion finds, it's souvenir heaven. Plus, you'll love the backdrop of palm trees and volcanic cliffs – it's like a postcard.

The locals here are super friendly, and their market stalls are packed with unique finds and tasty treats. After wandering around the market at your own pace, grab those perfect send-home snaps, chill with a ‘cortado' – espresso mixed with warm milk – at a cute café, or stroll along the marina. You'll see exactly why Puerto de Mogan is dubbed ‘Little Venice' with its bridges and canals. Take it all in before heading back to your hotel.

We enjoyed this trip very much with the helpful tour guide and excellent driver. The coach was comfortable and roomy. In view that the weather had been so bad our trip on the Friday was cancelled but we were able to go on the Monday so were not able to go to the market. The town is lovely with some good shops, a very pretty promenade and beach. A very enjoyable trip.

Waited for the bus for 1 hour never turned up. Rang TUI help line and was later informed that the trip had been cancelled due to the weather, shame they didn't inform us. We then caught the regular service bus to Mogan Should have done this in the first place fare less stress. Next problem will be getting a refund as our rep has not been available.

The trip to the market at Mogán was excellent, however as you can appreciate it was a very hot day, a couple had missed the Tui coach to Mogan , we were then informed as they had arrived late at the market the whole bus was delayed returning to our original pick up point, as they then wanted to visit the market!! I thought if you missed the bus you found your own way there & back ? Everyone else was on time & seemed to enjoy the experience

Puerto de Mogan was quite a pretty little port to visit but that was about all I can say. Nothing really special. The bus trip was a standard coach ride from the hotel to the port nothing more and nothing less. Expensive for a routine bus trip which cost €44 for a couple. A local bus would have cost €16 . Acknowledge that it would have taken 30mins longer but we could put up with that. Took this trip as rep stated local buses parked in a location a great many steps from port. This was NOT true !
