Fuengirola Zoo and shopping morning tour

4.5/5
44 reviews

This fun family morning has the whole clan covered. Visit the biggest coastal market in Fuengirola to shop for souvenirs, get some gifts or grab bargain or two, then head to Bioparc, an award-winning zoological centre where you can come face to face with cheeky chimps, tigers, lemurs and more.

First up, you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in Fuengirola's thriving market – the largest on the Costa del Sol. Watch as locals study the wares while cracking jokes and swapping stories with the stallholders. It's a great spot for picking up souvenirs, locally made clothes and fresh produce.

It's then on to Bioparc, a highly rated zoological park that replaces cages and bars with beautifully designed enclosures filled with greenery, rivers and exotic temples. See everything from tigers and chimps to gorillas and meerkats. Don't miss the leaping primates on Lemur Island and unusual creatures such as the Komodo dragon and pygmy hippos.

The staff were all ok, it was just very disappointing that the trip wasn't longer, it all felt very rushed, I believe the time at the bio park was too long as you can get round it in less than an hr( although it was still a nice park) the 1 1/2 hr around mijas was no where near long enough to do anything decent, ie good shop, food ect! Mijas is beautiful and would of been better to explore more, we feel the trip was overrated, misold and very overpriced! We wouldn't recommend.
