Caminito del Rey hiking trail tour from the Costa del Sol

This was an unusual excursion with a 7km walk across the canyon at Caminito del Rey, half way up the sheer canyon walls. The pathway was very safe and well made so no risks or danger to the walkers. It gave you amazing views of the river below and the canyon walls. We all wore helmets for safety and walk in single file, with our guide giving a commentary on the area, flora and fauna. Unfortunately the quality of the radio mikes was not good so the commentary was not easy to follow.

Enjoyed the experience greatly. Nice for it to be a fine sunny day as there is quite a lot of hanging around waiting for people to arrive or waiting for your turn to begin the gorge walk itself. The village, although nice to see, not the highlight of the day and not really needed. Two many people on the walk itself and you could not go at your own pace to appreciate the spectacle and wonder of the scenery you were in. But - pleased to have gone and would recommend to others.

Good guide, the experience was slightly let down by the radio equipment the guide was using. There was a lot of wind noise which made listening difficult and when we turned a corner or were held up we went out of range for reception.

Tui gaf in de app aan dat ik 10% korting kreeg als meer dan 100 euro aan excursies zou bestellen. Via de Tui reisbegeleider voor 228 euro aan excursies besteld, zij zei dat deze korting niet geldt buiten de app bestellen, dat vond ik minder. Ik heb hoogtevrees maar vond de wandeling te doen, het was soms zelfs echt genieten ! De busreis stopte op de heenweg nog in een stadje met zeer steile straatjes, dat was een prima opwarmer. Mijn vrouw vond de dag geweldig !
