This morning boat trip to the surrounds of Cozumel takes luxury to a whole new level. Set sail as the crew attend to every need, with an open bar serving cocktails and more. Kick back and relax on deck and soak up the sun to a backdrop of first-class views. There'll be stops to swim and snorkel amongst some of the best coral reefs in the world as well as paddleboarding and a light lunch onboard.

We were told by rep on site to be ready 10 mins before our 6.05am pick up. We arrived at hotel lobby at 5.50 to find a “no show” ticket for the transport that said it arrived at 5.45 and left at 5.50! We paid 600 Mexican pesos to get a taxi to the ferry in time !

The trip itself was magical. But the info provided beforehand was a little incomplete. It was not, as the Rep suggested, a 4-5 hour trip. Including drop-offs, it was actually around 10.5 hours. Additionally, once you have boarded the catamaran at Cozumel, you are not allowed to use suncream for understandable environmental reasons. If we had known this, we would have dressed differently. None of this detracted from the experience but it might be useful for future trippers to know this.

It was advertised as 2-4 hr experience, when in fact it was an exhausting full day event including the transfers. Communication was very poor, the hotel transfer went round in circles, dropped us at a shop and told to stand in a queue. Turned out that was for the ferry transfer to Cozumel. No idea by that point what was supposed to happen, then the ferry trip was obvs chaotic, I nearly got lost from my "shop group" when I got off the ferry. The cruise itself very nice, but the transfer....
