Mystical mountains, verdant valleys, secluded coves and azure waters that glitter in the sunlight. Kefalonia is a beauty. Take the ferry across from Zante for the day and then hop on a coach for a tour of the island's most picturesque spots, including Melissani Cave and Myrtos Bay.

Just north of Zante, Kefalonia is an island that's big on beauty. You'll cruise over, watching the mountains and cliffs rise high from the sea to Pessada harbour. Your first stop is Drogarati Cave, where you'll step inside a vast cavern and be dazzled by the numerous stalactites and stalagmites. We'll continue to Lake Melissani for a boat trip across this underground lagoon with aquamarine waters that glisten in the sun.

Next, we'll head to the seaside village of Agia Efimia. Here, you'll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, there's a photo stop at Myrtos Bay – a famous filming spot from Captain Corelli's Mandolin. Rounding off the trip is some free time in Argostoli, the island's capital.

Was a long day. Leaving hotel at 7 am and not returning til 9pm. ( says 8 hrs on form). Tour guide kay was lovely and very knowledgable. Stopped off for 20 mins to see caves then another stop to see underground lake, a foto stop overlooking a beach. A lunch stop then 45 mins in argostoli. We were too tired by then in 30 degree heat we just went for a refreshment. Some people did see loggerhead turtles tho.

the whole excursion was amazing especially Lake melissani it was magical, the guide was amazing made sure we was all safe n kept in the shade i would highly recommend everyone to try this excursion i know the drogarii caves are not ideal for people with poor mobility but there is a lovely little cafe sells drinks ice creams and things also a gift shop

Our TUI guide was fantastic she knew so much about the island and its history. Our coach driver was also excellent and although like all roads on the islands they are not very wide he drove safely. The only improvement would be the place we had lunch, not that enjoyable.

This was the most fun tour so far, Kefalonia is so nice with lots of good places and good food, definitely worth visiting, Kay the tour guide and Dimitri the driver made it so much better too, I really appreciate them, I would've loved to stay more in Zakynthos and book more trips with them
