You'll discover an art sanctuary in Krestena, Ilia, where a family tradition of plaster craftsmanship has been preserved since 1966. The experience takes place in a cultural space with a lending library and piano, connecting the region's historical heritage from Ancient Olympia to the Temple of Apollo Epicurius.
You'll step into the workspace to follow "The Gypsum Craftsman's Path". Guided by second-generation plaster artisans, you'll learn to mix natural gypsum, observe its thermal transformation and pour it into professional silicone moulds. You can carve a name or date onto your piece for a personal touch.
At the end of the workshop, your finished piece will be completely dry and placed in an eco-friendly, travel-safe paper bag. You'll gain knowledge about historic gypsum processing techniques passed down through generations in this unique setting.
