Monkeys aren't the only thing you'll see swinging through the trees on this day out. At Punta Cana's premier primate park, you can fly through the forest canopy too. Head to Monkeyland's spectacular mountain surrounds to spot super-cute squirrel monkeys and then hit the heights for a thrilling 12-wire zipline course.

Kick off with a visit to Casa del Coco to learn all about coconut oil and other organic Dominican products. You'll get to taste a few of them along with the national tipple, mamajuana, too. Suitably refreshed, we'll then head through acres of lush green rainforest and along mountain slopes towards Monkeyland.

Home to hundreds of chattering squirrel monkeys, you'll see these friendly creatures at play in their natural surroundings as you tour the botanical gardens. And if you really want to make it a wild day out, you can upgrade your ticket to include the park's action-packed zipline course – one of the longest in the Caribbean – or a buggy ride and river swim.

This was one of our favourite trips so far. Our guide Nathaniel was amazing and explained everything to us. The park guides also were amazing. The monkeys are super friendly and aren’t heavy at all. They climb on you and eat from a bowl in your hand. Definitely worth the money ! Take water with you as well as money as the place has a shop much cheaper than resort shops !

I must say the monkeys were cute, however, there was no independent interaction allowed with them. I felt we were Treated like a group of cattle andlined up for a picture.. Food placed on our heads and then the monkeys would jump, and several men would snap their cameras. The monkeys are not from the DR, I did not feel safe in the vehicle. The value for my money was poor. Purpose was to buy pictures . I highly recommend Costco does not support this activity. My money SHOULD BE refunded .

From the driver Juan Cruz (Dominican Tom Cruise) who collected us and gave us a guided tour along the way, to the visit to see the monkeys this truly was a memorable experience. This followed by an interesting coffee and hot chocolate talk and tasting session. If we could give this more than 10/10 we would. It was one of the things we looked forward to and we were not disappointed

Enjoyed the Monkeys and Zipline, staff were brilliant. Monkeys were amazing, thank you Alberto and Raphael. Didn't like all the waiting around. We were late to be picked up (25mins), and spent ages at the swap pojnt. There was lots of waiting around all day and we did not get to do the whole experience (cocoa house) as the tour guide made us leave. The experiences we did were brilliant though. The monkeys were so gentle, it was amazing to spend time with them.

The tour was advertised as a monkey land only experience. Most of the time was waiting and getting a presentation to buy goods made by the locals. We expected only monkeys as the tour name implies. Wasted time as we were on the tour for 5 hours with only 30 minutes of actual monkey interaction. Overall a tourist trap that we required private transportation to exit the tour early.
