Monkeys aren't the only thing you'll see swinging through the trees on this day out. At Punta Cana's premier primate park, you can fly through the forest canopy too. Head to Monkeyland's spectacular mountain surrounds to spot super-cute squirrel monkeys and then hit the heights for a thrilling 12-wire zipline course.

Kick off with a visit to Casa del Coco to learn all about coconut oil and other organic Dominican products. You'll get to taste a few of them along with the national tipple, mamajuana, too. Suitably refreshed, we'll then head through acres of lush green rainforest and along mountain slopes towards Monkeyland.

Home to hundreds of chattering squirrel monkeys, you'll see these friendly creatures at play in their natural surroundings as you tour the botanical gardens. And if you really want to make it a wild day out, you can upgrade your ticket to include the park's action-packed zipline course – one of the longest in the Caribbean – or a buggy ride and river swim.

Fantastic guide!!! (Carlos), bought in fruit from trees, played Jurassic park theme tune after passing film set area, showed us fantastic cultural differences and lifestyles and made us all laugh, often!!! Interesting tasting sessions, and fantastic products to buy 😁 The monkeys and photos were fantastic and although my son hated it, having autism, and had to stay away from the monkeys, one of the guides kindly offered to sit with my son so I could have a photo opportunity with the monkeys 😁

Fully interactive experience with the little squirrel monkeys, you are split into smaller groups and the guides make sure everyone gets to Fully interact with the monkeys. Such a fun experience. Highly recommend for all ages.

The whole experience was great, from the driver of the excursion bus (Juan Cruz), to the friendly staff at Monkeyland. The set up was brilliant, educational and the interaction with the monkeys was great, they ensured all parties got a chance to have them jump on you, plenty of video and photo opportunities. The talk at the local house and about the plantation was great, giving you an opportunity to try local produce and understand the process of families creating these at home. Fab day out!

As a pale person with freckles it would have been good to know that I was infact able to apply suncream and hour before the excursion. I did not apply any suncream prior to the excursion and knew about it on my return.

The guide, Angel, was exceptionally good! The interaction with the monkeys was more than we expected. The coffee and chocolate demonstration was interesting too. We felt totally safe all day and the area was sooooo beautiful!

An amazing experience that everyone should live. Monkeys are lovely & the staff very experienced!! Very well organised, these people give their all!!!!
