It was once visited by the famous explorer Christopher Columbus during his second voyage to the New World, and it was also a hideout for pirates and privateers in the 17th century'.
After a welcome drink at the pier, you'll hop aboard and cast off towards Catalina Island. This diver's paradise is world-famous for its vibrant coral reefs, schools of tropical fish and calm waters. Don your mask and dive in to snorkel and swim, then dry off on deck under the sun. Victoriano adds, 'The island is encircled by some of the most well-preserved coral reefs in the Caribbean. These reefs are bustling ecosystems in themselves, hosting a multitude of marine species – it's not uncommon to spot a turtle or two when snorkelling'.
After your captain has dropped anchor, you'll hit the sands for another round of welcome drinks, before sitting down for a mouthwatering buffet lunch – featuring an array of local and international cuisines – all washed down with wine and premium drinks from the open bar. You'll then have a few hours to lounge on the beach and top up your tan or go for another swim in the azure water.
