Turkey is renowned for its shopping and for being a haggler's paradise, and on this morning out from Kusadasi, you'll see exactly why. With visits to a gold centre, a Turkish shopping centre and the bustling stalls of a local market, even the most ardent shopper will be satisfied.

First up on this guided shopping morning is a trip to a renowned gold jewellery centre, where something shiny might well catch your eye. Then it's time to practise your haggling skills amid the heaving stalls of Selçuk or Kusadasi market – and don't be shy about it, the vendors expect it.

The rest of this shopping tour includes some free time to peruse the teeming shops and stalls of the bazaar and a pit stop at a superstore – perfect for Turkish presents, souvenirs, and – of course – Turkish delight.

Would have preferred an alternative to the jewellry store it was nice but expensive. 2 hours just right for market stop. Esra the guide was excellent. Overall a pleasant trip.

If you were not down for breakfast at 7am the scrambled eggs and other breakfast food runs out and is not replaced so tough you get none. There is a night club two doors down that blasts and I mean blasts music with a drum beat that penetrates the whole hotel resulting in no sleep until 3am. We were informed there was entertainment on the night which did not exist. The initial room we were allocated was on the ground floor and when overlooking the balcony were could smell cat poo everywhere.

Driver was a disaster. On the way to the venue he got lost twice looking for hotel pick ups. He stalled the bus three times and semi grounded the bus in a hotel driveway. Before going to the market we had to endure to 'sponsored' stops. The driver missed the first meaning we had to do a u turn and waste even more time travelling. On the way back our guide left us with the driver while she went off to do another tour. Same thing happened. He forgot one drop resulting in another u turn.

The market was closed - pointless selling a shopping trip to a traditional market that is going to be closed on that day
