A day packed with culture, spirituality and flavour. You'll visit three of the most important temples in the Phang Nga province – the Dragon Cave, Bang Rieng Pagoda and Manee Sri Mahathat.

First up is the Dragon Cave Temple. Built within and on top of limestone caves, it's as impressive as it is beautiful. Its monks make healing remedies. Next is Bang Rieng Pagoda Temple, high up in the mountains. It is a mixture of Thai and Chinese influences, and its location offers up amazing views of the area.

The final temple is Manee Sri Mahathat. It boasts a collection of wax statues of Indian, Chinese and Thai deities. But the most popular of all is that of Phor Than Klai – a monk known as ‘Golden Mouth' because of his ability to predict lottery numbers. And to round off the tour, you'll dine at a restaurant in a mangrove jungle, where you can try traditional delicacies.

The mini bus was quite cramped with every seat taken. Saw 3 Temples. Shoes on and off a lot of the time and your feet got dirty, they do give you a wipe for this. The first Temple was in a cave. There were 235 steps you had to do in bare feet. Then then went to 2 more temples. No steps but quite a lot of time outside in the humidity. Lunch was pretty nice with a few different dishes. Got a blessing by a monk and received a bracelet. I think you do need a level of fitness to get up the steps.

Our guide (Pau) was excellent. Full of enthusiasm and knowledge. Each stop was explained fully and his story telling of Buddah was enlightened

The temples were beautiful but very quiet. Transport was very cramped and not fit for purpose. Combined with a very fast driver, this was a forgettable experience. Also no PA system in the transport so we missed most of what was said to the other guests.

A thoroughly enjoyable day in which we learned about the Buddhist philosophy and Thai culture generally. Our guide was Jasmine who was extremely knowledgeable, personable and entertained us with stories and humour for the whole day. Our driver was efficient and courteous providing us with an endless supply of drinks and cool hand wipes on what was a very hot day. Excellent value for money and would highly recommend with Jasmine as the guide
