Tenerife's towering Mt Teide is the third-largest volcano in the world. And its 3,718-metre peak is the centrepiece of the UNESCO-listed Las Cañadas del Teide National Park. Take a guided tour of the mountain's otherworldly landscapes and soak up spectacular views over the island. And to really give your day the wow-factor, this tour includes a cable car ride to the summit.

the cable car wasn’t running (told early on), this was due to the wind. instead the guide took us to different stops for views/photos instead. the guide maxim was brilliant (having to speak to in 3 languages), very knowledgeable and chatty. the views are amazing and the photos just don’t do it justice.

Picked up outside hotel, was shortly after transferred to another bus, this was due to needing an English guide. The trip was fantastic, guide was cheery and very knowledgeable, couple of stops on way to teide as cable car was opening later that day. Was first in queue for car, fantastic experience, and the views, wow, only thing is its so cold at the top and I mean freezing cold, wrap up before you go up, other than that it's a fantastic trip and a must if visiting Tenerife

Absolute waste of time, cable car was cancelled due to weather which I totally understand but spend one and half hours and not even the cafe was opened so spent over an hour on the coach after we walked around then we went up further and luckily the cafe was open but only had 20 mins to try and get refreshments and a toilet stop of which you couldn’t use if you didn’t buy anything, we did so could use it, gave my receipt to someone who didn’t . Worst trip I’ve ever done with TUI.

The actual scenery was beautiful but neither of us could understand the guide as her English was very poor. Two others we spoke to said the same thing and had to keep asking her for clarification for arrangements as we couldn't understand her. We therefore had very little information about the day and missed out on what she was telling us including rules at the cable car where she didn't come. Very very disappointed

Through no fault of your own the cable car was closed due to winds. However, the mixed language group spoilt the commentary - it seemed that the English version was always much shorter than the German and Spanish (and not just because it is a more concise language - there were some elements missing), priority seemed to be given to the German tourist. Listening to 3 language each time was tiring. Also number of pickups/drop-offs made the day tedious. Smaller bus, single language would be better.
