Crevassee Labyrinth tour at Falljökull glacier

Step into a hidden icy realm with the Crevassee Labyrinth tour. This adventure whisks you deep into the dramatic heart of the Falljökull glacier, an outlet of the colossal Vatnajökull ice cap. If you're keen to witness the most awe-inspiring ice formations in Skaftafell National Park, this is your ideal trip.

Your rendezvous point is at the Skaftafell hut, where friendly and professional guides will equip you with all the necessary gear, including helmets, harnesses, and glacier crampons for your boots. A rugged 4x4 bus will transport you right to the edge of the glacier, marking the start of your icy expedition. You'll navigate through a mesmerising labyrinth of towering ice ridges and blue fissures known as crevasses. This tour dedicates more time to exploring these intricate formations and is ideal for those who wish to see more blue ice than on a standard glacier walk.

An expert guide will lead the way, ensuring your safety while regaling you with fascinating tales about the glacier's formation and its daily transformations. You'll have ample opportunity to capture photos of the glistening blue walls and soak in the serene beauty of this frozen wilderness. It's a truly remarkable way to experience the raw power of Iceland’s nature up close.
