Day tour of Kakheti with wine tasting and bread-baking masterclass

Embark on a day tour in Kakheti, one of the most scenic regions in Georgia, renowned for producing some of the finest wines. This region is responsible for nearly three-quarters of the country's wine grape cultivation, with archaeological evidence suggesting that winemaking has been a tradition here for several millennia.

Your journey begins with a visit to a traditional Georgian family wine cellar en route to the city of Love, Signagi. Here, you'll be welcomed by a host who will introduce you to the superb Chacha (Georgian liquor) and share a genuine toast. You'll also have the opportunity to sample homemade Georgian wine and chacha, prepared according to time-honoured standards and recipes.

Next, you'll participate in a complimentary bread-baking masterclass, where you'll learn how to make traditional Georgian bread. Following this, you'll visit the Monastery of St. Nino in Bodbe, a significant pilgrimage site in Georgia. Originally built in the 9th Century, it houses the tomb of St. Nino, the Cappadocian maiden credited with converting the Georgian people to Christianity as early as 337 AD.

The final stop is Signagi, often referred to as the City of Love. This charming town was developed in the 18th century by King Erekle II and offers spectacular views over the Alazani valley and the Caucasus beyond.
