2-day Bogotá cultural and natural tour with beekeeping experience

Discover the cultural and natural heritage surrounding Bogotá through an experience that connects ancient traditions, rural life, and biodiversity. Visit the sacred Guatavita Lagoon, a key site of the Muisca civilization and the origin of the legendary El Dorado, before continuing to Pasquilla for a hands-on beekeeping experience that highlights sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and authentic rural traditions.

Day 1 starts with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Bogotá for a scenic trip to the Andean highlands. Visit the sacred Guatavita Lagoon, origin of the El Dorado legend, where a guided walk explores Muisca traditions and the site’s natural beauty. Continue to the colonial town of Guatavita, then stop at the quirky Upside-Down House for photos. Return to Bogotá for an overnight stay.

Day 2 starts with a pick up and transfer to Pasquilla, a rural village in Ciudad Bolívar. Begin with a welcome aromatherapy session using local products, then learn about beekeeping, biodiversity, and sustainability with expert guidance. Wearing protective gear, visit the hives and observe honey production firsthand. Finally, you'll enjoy a traditional local lunch before returning to Bogotá.
