La Palma è attraversata da sentieri escursionistici di livello mondiale. Ma la protagonista assoluta è l'escursione alla Caldera Taburiente, un percorso che attraversa l'unico parco nazionale dell'isola. Percorrerete 16 chilometri lungo sentieri sinuosi che conducono nel bacino del cratere, scendendo di 800 metri di dislivello per ammirare un panorama incredibile, prima di visitare La Cascade de Colores, una cascata dove le acque ricche di ferro creano un effetto arcobaleno.

Beautiful scenery, informative and knowledgeable guide re geology, flora and fauna. We are seasoned walkers and coped with the 16 km distance over rough terrain, scree, steep downhill paths, slippery at times. I don't think that Tui make it clear in their description of this trip that you need to be fit and agile to undertake it successfully. I don't consider it a suitable trip for children either. Do Tui staff of varying abilities participate in these trips before marketing them?

Es war ein echt toller Ausflug der einiges an sportlicher Leistung abgefordert hat. Es gab viele interessante Informationen. Man sollte den Folgetag für Regeneration nutzen. ;-) Ein Lob an die tolle Führerin, die auch in schwierigen Situationen, schwächeren Tourteilnehmern eine große Unterstützung war.

It would have been helpful to know that there is somewhere to top up water half way so I didn't need to carry a whole days worth with me. Also information on the terrain would have been helpful, as some people had turned up in fashion trainers instead of proper trail shoes and they really struggled.
