Il 19 settembre 2021 si è formato un nuovo cratere vulcanico vicino a La Palma. Il vulcano precedentemente noto come Cumbre Vieja ha eruttato, cambiando completamente il paesaggio a ovest della città. Percorrendo 6,5 km sulla nuova montagna chiamata Tajogaite (montagna spaccata) si arriva quasi al cratere. Da qui si aprono panorami impressionanti sulle colate laviche e sulla Valle di Aridane.

This excursion was brilliant from start to finish. The 4x4 vehicle was agreat way to explore off the beaten track and made parts of the journey very exciting. The guide was very good and explained all about the recent eruption and its effect on the locals.

Simon our guide was both informative and entertaining we thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
