Day trip to Greek island of Rhodes from Marmaris Harbour

4.2/5
223 reviews

You can add another stamp to your passport on this day trip. You'll trade Turkey for Greece, as you make the short hop across the Aegean Sea to the island of Rhodes.

After a catamaran cruise, you'll arrive in Rhodes town. Here, you can explore the capital's pretty harbour, walled old quarter and upmarket New Town. You'll spend the morning ticking off sights like the charming Street of the Knights and the huge Palace of the Grand Masters. Make your way along the maze of cobbled streets, where you'll be surrounded by fountains, medieval churches and shops selling handmade goods and Greek delicacies. Speaking of food, you'll have a choice of hidden bistros or bustling waterfront bars for lunch.

Later, you can head to Mandraki harbour. It was once home to the Colossus of Rhodes – a 30-metre-tall statue, ranked as a Wonder of the Ancient World.

There is something that makes me sad. If I make a mistake in booking a holiday and cancel it 1 day after the booking date, I will be charged a cancellation fee which I think is a large amount, even though I booked a reservation with the same hotel/resort and only the dates were changed. I hope there will be a change regarding the cancellation fees.Thank you

Rhodes was so different from Marmaris. It was so inviting. The lovely streets are a picture. Lots and lots of real shops were so welcoming. The people were so friendly. We felt so good that we plan to go there on holiday next year. We didn’t exactly like the boat trip. It can be a bit iffy. Passport control was very slow and that was a nuisance but obviously necessary.

Coach to the port was filthy, black mold out of the AC vents & rubbish everywhere. Ferry was 1 hr & u remain in your seats so cant really look at the views. Rhodes old town was stupidly expensive & geared for tourist shopping. Although pretty, if you have young kids, they probably wont appreciate the history etc. Main street shops in new town. Sun beds were €25 each with stone/shingle beach. Food &drink cheaper in new town. IMO, wasn't worth the money & wished we had picked a different excursion

Hello, I think the inbound time was early, as we had to finish the activities in Rhodes by 3pm for a 4pm departure. I was wondering if we could at least 2h more in the island.
