Hammams have existed in Turkey since ancient times, providing locals with a way to relax and freshen up. They're also brilliant for exfoliating your skin so you're more likely to develop a lasting tan.

Everything starts when we take you to one of the best local hammams. Here, you'll change into your swimwear in a cubicle and wrap up in a towel. Then it's off to the hammam itself – a humid, marble-tiled room with a ‘gobektasi', a heated stone slab in the centre. Relax as the heat softens your skin, opens your pores and gets you sweating out those toxins.

Next, you'll lie on the ‘gobektasi', where you'll be treated to a body scrub followed by a head-to-toe massage in soft, soapy bubbles. And after that, you'll enjoy an all-over oil massage leaving you positively glowing and the most relaxed you've ever felt. It's a great way to start your holiday.

Despite the unprepossessing surroundings in the outskirts of Belek, once inside the spa provided everything promised. I had been concerned that it may engage in hard selling of further services - as shown in many such reviews of spas providing such package deals. However, the extra options offered were limited and unpressurised; we even decided to extend the oil massage to 45 minutes at a reasonable charge of €20 each. The staff were pleasant and efficient, as was the journey there and back.

For females wish she asked how deep we wanted the massage. But over all was a lovely experience the staff are nice and I felt clean / scrubbed after the bath.

Als er gehört hat das ich Krankenschwester bin, ist er sofort raus ohne ein wort zu sagen. Ich finde das aus medizinischer Sicht sehr gefährlich wenn Nichtwissende sich darauf einlassen

Für 30 Euro habe ich keine schöne Location erwartet, aber die Massageräume waren kalt und das Handtuch, das auf der Liege war, war nass und muchelig. Außerdem wurde ich während meiner gut durchgeführten Massage von einer anderen Mitarbeiterin gestört, um mir eine weiter Massage zu verkaufen. Das war kundenunfreundlich.
