Nabeul Market

88 reviews

Nabeul Market sprawls through the coastal town of Nabeul, near Hammammet in Tunisia. It's one of North Africa's largest market and you can buy pretty much anything there. This authentic and vibrant shopping experience is renowned for traditional ceramics, leather goods, spices and textiles – it's a treasure trove of handicrafts and local artisanal products.

As well as being a great place to pick up souvenirs, Nabeul market is also fantastic for trying the flavours of Tunisia. There's a large section for fresh produce and plenty of street foods to sample, so look out for treats like fresh local fruit, aromatic spices, olives, honey, traditional pastries and top quality Tunisian dates.

You'll have the chance to engage with friendly local vendors at the market, who are always ready to share stories, traditions, and insights about their products. Feel free to haggle and negotiate prices, as it's all part of the fun. Nabeul market is also an immersive cultural experience, and you'll see lots of local people doing their shopping here, too.

Seeing the everyday life in Tunisia. Felt safe and secure. Not the type of market we expected. Expected a food ,spice and flower market.

We enjoyed the trip, our guide was informative, friendly and funny. The day was planned perfectly, we liked the stop at the factory before visiting the market. We were given two hours to spend at the market which was the perfect amount of time (any longer would’ve been overwhelming for us!!) It was reassuring that the guide took us to the Main Street before allowing us to wonder freely, thank you :)

There was plenty of time to shop at the market and enjoyed the little stop at the pottery factory/shop. For what was, effectively, £20 it was a good way to see a bit more of the country. The market itself was, perhaps, a little disappointing.

This is the worst trip ive ever been on, there was no guidance or information. The guide did virtually nothing and I have already put in a complaint through the rep on holiday. It wasn't value for money. I could have taken a taxi for a fraction of the cost. I just hope the next trip i go on isn't the same!
