Visiting the legendary Phi Phi Islands is a must-do when in Thailand. And there's no more stylish way to do so than this speedboat excursion. You'll zoom into the best beaches in the archipelago, and have free time to swim, snorkel and relax. And with Monkey beach and Pileh Lagoon also on the itinerary, it's sure to be a great day.

As you arrive in the islands, you'll pass the famous Maya Bay – where the Leonardo DiCaprio movie, The Beach, was filmed – en route to Monkey beach. It's so named for the troops of inquisitive monkeys that hang out here.

Our favourite stop is at the Pileh lagoon – towering cliffs surround the emerald water and you'll have plenty of time to take a dip. Later you'll be served a buffet lunch and then you can relax under the sun or snorkel and explore the coral reefs.

The snorkeling especially the final stop was good. The last stop was great and I would have liked longer there. The lagoon swim was a bit disappointing but inevitably due to the number of boats there it was really only safe to swim behind our own boat and there was fuel on the water which of course couldn't be helped.

The staff were all great and very helpful! The constant provision of drinks was also greatly appreciated as was the added touch of paying for the professional photographer who took loads of great photos including underwater photos. Each stop is approximately 30-60 minutes which is sufficient as the trip time with transfers is about 11 hours.

We really enjoyed the day - bamboo island, snorkelling and maya bay were the favourites for us. It was a bit chaotic at the start with multiple tour companies and groups (around 200 people) trying to get organised/on the right boat. Good amount of time at each stop - would have liked longer at maya bay. Lunch was ok - a mix of Thai, Italian and salad. Would recommend the trip to people wanting to experience phi phi.

Between 1st August to 30th September, Maya Bay will be closed to visitors due to ecosystem preservation. During this time, there'll be a sightseeing boat tour of the bay, from a respectful distance
