Designed for experienced riders, the lesson focuses on the principles of classical equitation: straightness, balance, impulsion, collection, and lightness.
The lesson includes lateral work—shoulder-in, half-pass, haunches-in, haunches-out—along with pirouettes, transitions within the gait, and cadence variations to refine mobility, biomechanics, and coordination. High School movements such as piaffe, passage, and Spanish walk are introduced progressively and integrated functionally, reflecting the level of collection, obedience, and harmony achieved rather than as isolated goals.
The central focus is quality of riding, emphasising maximum softness, precision of the seat, and economy of aids. The aim is a horse that responds to the rider’s intention with understanding, calmness, and mutual trust, creating a harmonious and refined partnership.
