Lanzarote volcano tour with BBQ

4.5/5
1035 reviews

Lanzarote's volcanic scenery comes into its own at Timanfaya National Park. This corner of the island is all rusty-red peaks and craters straight from a sci-fi movie set. And it's all even more dramatic at sunset. So on this evening trip, you're in for a treat. Before heading to Timanfaya, we'll make a short stop at La Geria winery. Local guide, Maria, says, “this bodega offers a magnificent backdrop of volcanic vineyards and sweeping mountain views as you learn about the unique wine-making methods here - you'll even taste a small sample..”

You'll drive the park's famous Lunar Route around the scorched peaks, known as the Mountains of Fire. Then, enjoy an exclusive stop at Montaña a Rajada lookout, before arriving at El Diablo, a circular restaurant built on top of the Islote de Hilario volcano. Designed by Lanzarote's acclaimed architect, Cesar Manrique, its floor-to-ceiling windows command jaw-dropping panoramas over the national park.

After capturing the candy floss clouds and craters on camera, tuck into dinner sizzled up on the volcano-heated barbecue, enjoying the views and live Canarian music.

Guide was amazing I’ve been coming to Lanzarote since 1995 and brought several people here. The guide today was the best I. All these years. Very knowledgeable

The food was disgusting at the BBQ. The accompanying trip CD was horrific and the trip was no where near value for the money

Was a little disappointed with the wine tasting. Was expecting a little longer and a few other wines. Got a very very small glass of wine

The only downside of this tour was our pick up point was short walk up a gradient which my wife found hard being disabled what really upset both of us was the fact the coach could have picked us up at the hotel as the transfer coach had no problem picking and dropping the guests at the hotel and what compounded the situation was every other person on the tour was dropped of at the hotel including your own TUI rep this was the only down side on a very good tour

It was an amazing experience and very interesting, the staff at the volcano were very friendly and the traditional music was a nice touch,a special mention for our driver Nixon and of course our guide George who was wonderful mixing a bit of comedy with his knowledge of the volcano,I would fully recommend this experience, but for us George made it very interesting and comical what a wonderful guide he is.
