Jump in a 4x4 for an off-road adventure that reveals the rugged side of Spain's Costa Blanca. Choose a morning or evening tour and climb over 600 metres for panoramic views of ravines and reservoirs, bump along forest tracks and take a dip in the turquoise waters of the Fuentes del Algar Waterfalls. There's plenty of time at this protected natural spot to appreciate the deep pools that the plunging water has carved into the limestone over thousands of years. After you've dried off, you'll be guided along a dried riverbed known as ‘the jungle', where thousands of sugarcane stems make tunnels to weave through.

So much fun thanks to the driver/guide. He made the experience! It does get pretty chilly on the ride back along main roads as the jeep is completely open, so take a jacket or blanket for that bit even if it's sunny. Algar falls are lovely but even when not peak season they are busy and so difficult to navigating further up. Not for those who struggle with being close to other people. The only food/drink stop is for fresh oranges (lovely).

We hebben genoten van de safarie en de rit naar de watervallen de tijd bij de watervallen ging wel snel voorbij. Trek goede waterschoenen aan en zorg voor een goede zonnebril als je lenzen draagt het kan wat stoffig zijn tijdens de rit. Ook heel fijn dat de gids nederlands sprak. Zeker de moeite waard.

De tocht op zich was leuk en de bestuurder vertelde ook enkele leuke feitjes. We zijn echter niet gestopt in een dorpje en bij de watervallen werden we “gedropt”. Dus sfeer in de jeep was zeker een 10 maar de excursie zelf was het geld niet waard.

We werden goed optijd opgehaald. 10 min voor afgesproken tijd. We hadden wel Nederlands reisgids gevraagd en hebben Engelstallige reisgids gekregen wel jammer voor de kinderen. Al waren wij wel tevreden van de Engelstallige gids. De rit door de bergen ( jungle) was heel plezant en spannend. De watervallen zijn heel mooi en lekker koel water. Wij kregen ook veel tips voor leuke plekjes te bezoeken. Zeer leuke uitstap die kwa tijd 4u perfect is.
