Gateway to the Secret Paradise

4.4/5
14 reviews

A scenic drive through the timeless Atlas Mountains, this trip reveals a traditional side of Agadir life. You'll drink tea with the locals in typical Berber hamlets, visit charming fishing villages and see spectacular landscapes. To top it all is Tamri – a bird watcher's paradise surrounded by sand dunes.

Soak up the tranquil vibes at a traditional fishing port as we make our first stop. Then we'll continue our drive through the Atlas mountains, visiting an oil press and enjoying panoramic views of the hills and banana fields. Pop into a Berber family home for some refreshing mint tea, then jump back onto the bus to discover the fields where bananas are grown.

After lunch, we'll head to the sand dunes of Tamri for a sport of birdwatching. Admire the rich coastal plant life as you keep your eyes peeled for exotic species. A stroll over the golden dunes will make you feel like you're in the Sahara desert.

I think it would be good to be able to do a child friendly trip and an adult trip! My 10 year old loved it and Hammed our driver kept him entertained with nature but it was a very adult tour! Immie and drivers were brilliant, informative, knowledgeable and shared openly life in Morocco giving us a stunning insight! It was nice to be out of the commercial side of tourism and see the depth of Morocco! The spring was lovely maybe explanation before on how rural it is! Overall amazing!

Immy was a fantastic guide. Informative, interesting and generous. Make sure you take some money to tip for the Berber tea stop, the lunch, and for the Argon oil products. Wasn’t as much of a paradise as it says it is. But a very good day out.

A good pace not rushed. Amazing to experience authentic Morocco at a Berber village and house. Beautiful scenery and variety of experiences in one day. All stops were informative and guide had lots of information and facts.

The guide went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable and memorable. Sadly, I cannot remember her name but she does this particular trip regularly herself. If I could, I would give her SUPERSTAR as she was simply superb!! Thank you for looking after my daughter and I, we didn’t like it, we LOVED it!

Our pickup was on time. Immy our guide was amazing. She was professional, knowledgeable warm and friendly. We felt very safe with both her and our driver. Breakfast and lunch in the Berber homes was lovely and Immy gave us some insights into the culture of the Berber community. There were lots of opportunities to take photos and take in the fantastic views from the mountains. Paradise Valley itself was a beautiful tranquil setting and provided an opportunity to swim or to explore.

We really enjoyed this trip getting to see different parts of the area and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was also really nice to be welcomed into local’s houses for breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately we weren’t told in advance about going to a small lake so didn’t take our swimwear. But be warned, the walk down to the lake isn’t easy or for people with mobile issues as it’s quite steep and on an unsteady surface
