Your night at a traditional nomadic camp in the Zagora Sahara is where the trip shifts gear. After arriving, pick your moment: a sunset camel ride across the dunes or save it for the hush of sunrise. As the sky darkens, the camp comes alive with storytelling and local music under a star-filled desert sky.
Set off from Agadir into the foothills, passing through Taliouine, Morocco's saffron capital, and Taznakht, where local artisans weave the vivid Berber carpets the region is famous for. Tuck into lunch in Taznakht before the drive south towards Zagora, with the High Atlas Mountains rising alongside ancient kasbahs and lush palm oases. On arrival, choose between a sunset camel ride or save it for the morning, then settle into camp for an evening of storytelling under the desert sky.
Wake to a peaceful desert sunrise, then breakfast at camp before heading back north via Ouarzazate. Your first stop is the historic Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Cinema Studios, the backdrop for major international film productions. From there, continue to Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco's most photographed ksars. After lunch at a local restaurant by the ksar, it's the final drive back to Agadir, arriving late afternoon.

October to April is the most comfortable time for a desert overnight in southern Morocco, with mild days and cool evenings. Summer temperatures can exceed 40°C during the day, though desert nights remain pleasant. The tour runs year-round.
No special fitness is required. This is primarily a driving tour with short walks at stops and on flat desert sand at camp. Not suitable for infants (age 0–2). Minimum 2 participants per booking.
