The Orangerie Museum is a wonderful place, located in the very heart of Paris in the Tuileries garden.

Entirely renovated, the museum allows you to discover with a natural and original light Monet’s Nymphéas (Water Lilies) and 146 other masterpieces of the Walter-Guillaume collection (Renoir, Cézanne, Modigliani, Matisse, Picasso, Derain, Soutine).

The tickets we booked did not have a time allocation. We were therefore in the same queue as those without tickets. This was not expected.

Due to construction work taking place from 7 to 31 January 2026, all visitors (including those entitled to free admission) must reserve a time slot for their visit on the museum's official website in advance. To gain access to the museum, you will need to present both the voucher generated when you made your purchase and the free admission voucher from the Orangerie Museum's website
Free admission every first Sunday of the month
Large bags or luggage are not allowed inside the museum
Once you've left the museum, you can't get back in
Access to temporary exhibitions subject to availability
Free admission (not available on musement.com) for visitors under 18s, 18-25 EU citizens; and for all visitors on the first Sunday of the month
