Krka National Park and Waterfalls Tour

4.5/5
350 reviews

Experience the ultimate in natural beauty at Krka National Park, one of Croatia's wildest natural treasures. You'll get a chance to breathe in the freshest of airs and explore the waterfall-splashed landscape of Skradinski Buk. There's also a visit to Stella Croatica, famous for its handmade goods. Peter, one of our local guides, says, 'Krka National Park isn't just a nature-lover's haven, but also a place of historical and cultural importance. Within the park, you'll find several old fortresses, remnants of ancient Roman settlements, and medieval monasteries'.

You'll begin your adventure with a visit to Stella Croatica, where you can indulge in some local, handmade delicacies and taste local flavours. And as you arrive into Krka National Park, prepare to be immersed into a day of exploration. Scenic wooden walkways weave through a breathtaking landscape dotted with waterfalls and tranquil lakes, offering stunning views and photo opportunities along the way. You'll also have the opportunity to learn about local traditions and visit a historic water mill.

But the highlight of your visit is sure to be Skradinski Buk – a spectacular natural pool framed by 17 cascading waterfalls, creating a dramatic and photogenic backdrop. This area is not only a feast for the eyes but also a vital habitat for diverse wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for the park's varied birdlife, including nightingales, herons, falcons, and owls, which add to the park's natural allure. You'll have some free time here to explore and also grab a bite to eat.

The Waterfalls on this trip are breath taking - absolutely stunning. The Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and added to the learning of Croatian history which we found highly interesting. It was a lovely day out and we will do this when we visit Croatia in the future. Highly recommended day out.

The minibus used to transfer us was small, very uncomfortable seats with hardly any leg room. Air conditioning was extremely poor. The guide spoke a lot about her own family life and even showed photos. On the way back we had to take a diversion to get petrol which probably put on a further 25 minutes in a 2 hour journey. , very poor service

It was a long coach ride, but the stop at the olive oil factory/museum was great. Krka is visually beautiful, everywhere you look. The boardwalks that take you round are a bit uneven and there are lots of stairs, so not suitable for older people or pushchairs.

We had a very long bus ride (3hrs) to the waterfalls, we had to take the coastal road to pick up guests at hotels in Omiš. Scenic but not worth the very long drive. Would prefer the highway. Short stop at Stella Croatia for olive oil tour and souvenirs which we enjoyed. Waterfalls were lovely, wooden walkways throughout the park makes getting around easy. We again had Dubravnka as our guide and she is excellent. Local staff at restaurant and bar at end of tour in the park very rude
