Krka National Park and Waterfalls Tour

4.5/5
332 reviews

Experience the ultimate in natural beauty at Krka National Park, one of Croatia's wildest natural treasures. You'll get a chance to breathe in the freshest of airs and explore the waterfall-splashed landscape of Skradinski Buk. There's also a visit to Stella Croatica, famous for its handmade goods. Peter, one of our local guides, says, 'Krka National Park isn't just a nature-lover's haven, but also a place of historical and cultural importance. Within the park, you'll find several old fortresses, remnants of ancient Roman settlements, and medieval monasteries'.

You'll begin your adventure with a visit to Stella Croatica, where you can indulge in some local, handmade delicacies and taste local flavours. And as you arrive into Krka National Park, prepare to be immersed into a day of exploration. Scenic wooden walkways weave through a breathtaking landscape dotted with waterfalls and tranquil lakes, offering stunning views and photo opportunities along the way. You'll also have the opportunity to learn about local traditions and visit a historic water mill.

But the highlight of your visit is sure to be Skradinski Buk – a spectacular natural pool framed by 17 cascading waterfalls, creating a dramatic and photogenic backdrop. This area is not only a feast for the eyes but also a vital habitat for diverse wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for the park's varied birdlife, including nightingales, herons, falcons, and owls, which add to the park's natural allure. You'll have some free time here to explore and also grab a bite to eat.

The stop at the olive farm was great and broke up the journey. The views were stunning and the park was next level. The food prices was spot on not to expensive. Only downside to the whole trip was we spent 6 hours on the bus and 3 in the park but that was due to our hotel location.

Dube was a great guide very knowledgeable and used that knowledge on the long journey to Krk national park to break the journey and tell us history and little stories which were very interesting from tourism in the local area to the reason why croatias previous currency was called Kuna, the topics flowed nicely and felt natural she also knew a lot about the national park

Our tour guide Dube was a fantastic lady! Full of knowledge, charismatic and genuinely lovely. The park was beautiful and we enjoyed the free time to go around as we wished. This time of year in particular was perfect, weather wise. A must-do excursion for nature lovers. The only slight negative would be the amount of picks ups/drop offs and their locations, which made the long journey that bit longer.
