Unforgettable Venice from Rovinj including Pula & Porec

4.6/5
36 reviews

Built on more than 100 islands, Venice is famed for its network of dusky-blue canals, lined with elaborate architecture and criss-crossed by beautiful stone bridges. And this day trip from Istria to Venice sees you crossing the Adriatic Sea by boat for a chance to explore with free time in this romantic Italian city.

You'll arrive in style into San Basilio pier, right in the heart of Venice, to begin your discovery of 'La Serenissima.' As you wander through this fabled place, there's plenty of time to spot some of the city's highlights. Don't miss the legendary St Mark's Square – a piazza dominated by the beautiful Byzantine basilica of St Mark and its belfry.

Maybe take a gondola ride, find as many bridges as you can and dip in and out of classic eateries – there's loads to do here. You'll make your own way to the port to leave Venice in the early evening and return to Croatia having seen one of Italy's top cities.

In total 2 hours on the coach and 9 and half hours on the ferry (11 hours travelling) only to spend 4 and half hours in Venice. We paid for the package and whilst this may have been value for money, I can't say for sure, in total cost us €450. The tour guides walked too fast, no real time to explore cos it was rush here, rush there. The Grand Canal cruise was a let down. A very long day where I didn't feel we had experienced Venice. With hindsight, I would not recommend.

Booking with Tui was easy, the driver collected us on time and left us at bus stop ready to be collect, the guy from the Ferry then came to collect us. On the Ferry was well organised, drinks and snacks could be purchased as well as package trips for Venice to enable ease of getting around, guide said to down load an app, which is fine if it works and he did race off somewhat. Venice is gorgeous, but busy, gondola ride is worth it, through ferry as expensive otherwise, this trip is a nice taster

We are so glad we booked this! Its a long day but well worth it! We decided to do all of the extras they offered on the boat and glad we did. Lunch with drinks, transfer to st Mark's square gondola and water taxi. Highly recommended!
