Living in the coastal subtropical waters around Sal, lemon sharks are one of the easiest sharks to spot in their natural habitat. You'll venture out to Shark Bay with a marine biologist to interact and learn about these fascinating creatures on this half-day trip.

After pick-up from your hotel, you'll drive to Shark Bay over on the east coast of Sal where your lemon shark experience will begin. You'll wade out into the water with a marine biologist, who will guide you step by step and teach you all about this incredible species.

Spot their yellow-tinted skin – ideal for camouflage in the sandy shores – and watch them as they go about their business, twisting and turning, and looking for fish just a few feet away. You'll see their fins cutting through the surface of the water and get to know these sharks closer than you could imagine.

A little expensive for a short trip, but a great experience nonetheless. The guide, Carla, was really friendly and knowledgeable (as a marine biologist, this aspect was expected, but she was great as a guide too, and explained everything really well). Driver did a good job. I was happy to show my financial appreciation to both of them for a job well done.

Excellent knowledge and enthusiasm from Patrick. Liked the ethical side of the tour, unlike some of the other tours we witnessed, although this did have a little impact on ours. Bags etc could be left on the bus securely which was a great benefit.

Don't think swimming shoes are appropriate as was told they would be and my feet still are painful day after. Although really enjoyed sharks swimming around us the walking over large rocks etc was so painful and if I had known would of hired crocks .

Tour was nice and short, no unexpected stops, you get on the bus you drive to the location, see the sharks and go back to your hotel, this is how trips should be, without the unnecessary stops and trying to seel you things
