Living in the coastal subtropical waters around Sal, lemon sharks are one of the easiest sharks to spot in their natural habitat. You'll venture out to Shark Bay with a marine biologist to interact and learn about these fascinating creatures on this half-day trip.

After pick-up from your hotel, you'll drive to Shark Bay over on the east coast of Sal where your lemon shark experience will begin. You'll wade out into the water with a marine biologist, who will guide you step by step and teach you all about this incredible species.

Spot their yellow-tinted skin – ideal for camouflage in the sandy shores – and watch them as they go about their business, twisting and turning, and looking for fish just a few feet away. You'll see their fins cutting through the surface of the water and get to know these sharks closer than you could imagine.

Kelly was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the island and the marine life. The only negative thing about the whole trip was the unregulated guides who were there trying to attract the sharks with fish heads.The sooner this is stopped the better off the sharks will be.

Chelsea our guide was excellent, she was so informative about the lemon shark habitat and aspects of the island and ensured that we were safe whilst we entered the water and experienced this amazing opportunity, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our trip, would highly recommend this trip to others also I would recommend that people take a waterproof phone case so that you can capture the lemon sharks and maybe a carrier bag to put wet shoes into.

We had a fantastic time with our guide Dinesh. He was very informative and had lots of knowledge about the sharks and the sea. I hope that in the near future Shark Bay will be a protected area and people won’t be able to bait the shark. It was have them swim around us 🦈😍
