Sal Island Zipline Course

4.6/5
930 reviews

The freedom and exhilaration of flying top-speed through the air is an experience that's hard to beat. And you can do it in the tropical setting of Sal island, with hilltop views to boot.

You'll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the base where your arrival will be welcomed with a refreshing drink to get you started. There will be a quick safety briefing and introduction to ziplining, then once you're ready, you'll drive up to the hilltop, followed by a short, but no less spectacular, walk.

There are two platforms to launch yourself from, with the highest point at a towering 103m. You'll reach speeds of up to a 100km per hour as you hurtle down the steel ropes, which extend over 1000m. And if you can open your eyes for just a second, you'll catch flashes of Sal's idyllic landscape before you reach the end of the line.

I was apprehensive about this trip but it was fantastic! Take a bottle of water with you though as climbing the 164 steps in the side of the mountain is thirsty work. The staff are wonderful! The view beautiful! And one to cross off the bucket list!

Enjoyed the experience. They ran out of harnesses, we were told it would be 10 minutes before we could be fitted with safety equipment. It was a lengthy wait. Staff were very friendly and entertaining.

Staff had little interaction with customers. We weren't told what was happening. Lots of waiting around with little to no communication. Staff chatted lots and loudly amongst themselves. No welcome drink as advertised. Lots of waiting around. After the zipline we weren't encouraged to take shelter, use facilities or wait anywhere. It was a lot of money for a few mins on the zip, which would have been significantly improved if there was good banter between Staff and customers.

Amazing views and friendly staff and made us feel so safe!! There is a short uphill walk of 124 steps which was a but tiring but still was an amazing experience. We did the sunset time slot and it was beautiful.
