TUI Hetta reindeer sleigh tour

We enjoyed our ride their on the coach to back of beyond and the scenery and then the staff and guides were great very helpful, and full of information to share about the sami and the hot drink and biscuit was lovely too and so much lovely snow. Was so peacefil and the house was great and area as the kids just played in the deep snow outside and Mattius and his mate were fun for all, oth the elves were good too

Was a really pleasant experience, their was a slight issue on the day due to a person getting injured via a reindeer antler. Sometime the guide was hard to understand due to a slight lane barrier. The part were we got to feed the reindeer was good although a few safety concerns could of been raised but nothing to do with tui. More other parents letting children run wild around the reindeer. A major accident could of accused quite easily.

The experience was good overall but had been scheduled by TUI to leave the hotel at 1pm so by the time we arrived it was already starting to get dark. Unfortunately by the time we went to feed the reindeer it was so dark you couldn’t see them properly and as you aren’t allowed to use the flash you can’t take very good pictures. The sleigh ride over the frozen lake was beautiful. It would have been better as a morning trip. Overall an expensive 2 hour trip but it is once in a lifetime.

Right from the start the day was fantastic. Bus picked us up from the hotel and took us into the wilderness of Lapland. We got to feed the reindeer and learn about reindeer herding. We then took some time to have a snack and hot berry juice in the home of the reindeer herders. Here we learnt all about the Sami way of life and how life has adapted for the locals over the last 100 years. After this we headed back outside for a very long reinfeer sleigh ride around a frozen lake! Magical!

The reindeer ride took place very early in the morning, in the darkness. It would have been better to time it during the hours of daylight between 10am-2pm. We enjoyed it, but it was dark so we couldn’t fully appreciate the scenery.
