Discover two of Sicily's most famous nature destinations by joining this experience of good food, nature, and the exploration of unique landscapes.

Mount Etna and the Alcantara Gorges are waiting for you! Your tour starts in Taormina, from where you´ll head to renowned Mareneve Road, 1500 meters above sea level. Discover the legends of the villages located at the foot of Mount Etna and the volcano itself as you listen to your guide. The first stop will be the famous lateral lava flow that destroyed the ski station at Piano Provenzana and burnt down part of Ragabo Pine Forest in 2002. After winding through pine, birch, and crater forests, you´ll reach the Grotta dei Ladroni. Explore this tunnel carved out of lava and learn about it from your guide. At the end of the excursion, it will be possible to have a lunch (not included) break in a Chalet, at an altitude of 1500m, with a choice of menu and payment to be made on site. Once lunch is over, continue to another splendid natural destination, made up of unique landscapes resembling a canyon: the Alcantara Gorges.

Along the way, you´ll get to visit some ancient Sicilian villages, such as Castiglione di Sicilia, renowned for its wine cultivation and Etna D.O.C.

Gut gefallen haben mir die zwei Guides, die waren echt lustig und haben sehr viel Spaß verbreitet und waren auch fachkundig. Vielleicht etwas zu teuer, aber okay.

Ik had geboekt omdat mijn excursie was geannuleerd. Ik heb deze daarna geboekt en bij de bevestiging stond dat je geen beginners niveau in de fitness mocht hebben. Ook stond er geen voldoende informatie over wat de excursie eigenlijk inhoud. Dus ik annuleer deze nog geen 2 u later en ik ben mijn 100 € kwijt omdat er geen 48 u tussen de annulering zat. The guide Julia was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and engaged with us all. Very enjoyable trip overall but did not have suitable footwear for paddling in the gorge. Definitely needs to be on the further information section to bring paddling shoes. To score better value for money for the trip it would be good to have lunch included, however €10 is fair for the pannini, cake and drink. Had a great time. The views were spectacular and Julia was fab. Cannot fault the service.
