Camels may well be the traditional local means of transportation in the desert but they certainly aren't as exhilarating as kicking up the desert sands with a roaring quad bike.

This excursion will take you on guided trails to zoom through the dunes of the desert for over an hour. After this adrenaline-pumping session, you'll pop off your goggles and helmet for a short break before re-mounting your iron horse and continuing to the nearby beach.

Satisfy your need for speed as you skid across the waters lapping the beach as the sun sets over the desert – your visor, helmet and scarf concealing the big smile on your face.

We werden te laat opgehaald bij het hotel, zonder enige vorm van communicatie. De reisleider op locatie was erg chaotisch. Het kameel rijden betrof 1 klein rondje, dus dat viel tegen. Het quad rijden was wel echt tof! Leuke begeleiding, mooie route en 2 stops. Tip: neem cash geld mee voor het aanschaffen van de sjaal, de fotograaf die de hele excursie aanwezig is en fooi voor de mannen die meegaan met het quad rijden.

We hadden deze geboekt als verrassing voor de 18de verjaardag van onze zoon. Ik zag hem genieten van begin tot einde. Leuke rit door de woestijn. Eerst een heel korte kamelen rit, leuk om eens mee te maken. Maar waar het om draaide was de quad toer. Superleuk! Die van ons haalde toch vlot 54km/h. Veel stof natuurlijk maar je kan ter plaatse een sjaal kopen. Lange broek is inderdaad een aanrader. Achteraf nog uitleg in een tent over plaatselijke producten. Dicht bij Port Ghalib. Top!!!

Eine Stunde zu spät abgeholt, Kamelritt war ein Scherz, maximal 2 Minuten für ein Foto was man kaufen konnte. Quad Tour nicht mal 1 Stunde, da dann die Sonne schon untergegangen war und alles schnell beendet wurde. Preis-Leistung zu teuer

Very enjoyable experience and well-organized overall. Do make sure to read in advance what you're allowed to bring and what to wear — that way you won’t waste time waiting for the group to get ready. One thing I did expect was to see a bit more during the tour. You stop for about 15 minutes at a distinctive tree, where photos are taken, and the second stop is by the coast for more photos.
