Dominata dal Monte Epomeo, Ischia è un'isola piccola ma montuosa al largo della punta settentrionale del Golfo di Napoli. Con i suoi giardini in fiore, le città termali e i paesaggi mozzafiato, è anche una deliziosa gita di un giorno da Sorrento. Questo tour prevede un percorso panoramico, tempo libero per il pranzo e i famosi Giardini della Mortella.

Il primo passo di questo tour di un'intera giornata è la traversata in aliscafo da Sorrento alla vulcanica Ischia. All'arrivo, conoscerete l'isola con un giro panoramico per vedere i suoi punti salienti. Una pausa per il pranzo precede la parte successiva del tour.

Nel pomeriggio, la star dello spettacolo è rappresentata dai Giardini subtropicali de La Mortella. Creati e curati con amore per decenni dal compositore inglese William Walton e da sua moglie argentina, Susana, presentano più di 300 piante rare ed esotiche, oltre a statue ornamentali e cascate. Ammirate la vista dalla collina superiore sulla baia di Forio, prima di avere ancora tempo libero fino al momento di risalire a bordo del battello.

Very long day but well worth it. Our guide Valentine was exceptional. The only criticism I would have is that the vista stops could have been shorter or missed out and had longer time at the Mortella Gardens.

We enjoyed the trip and got to talk to lots of the other holiday makers which enhanced our experience. The tour guide Gabriella was very knowledgeable and very friendly. There was a bit of confusion when it was meal time as not everyone went on the meal and people got confused over the meeting place . All in all a good experience

It felt as though there wasn't enough time allocated at the gardens to explore on our own without being shepherded around (more free time needed there)

Valentine our guide was very informative and chatty, keeping everyone interested. He stopped at several points for photos, and his recommendation for lunch was excellent. Pizza and a drink for €20. Kept checking everyone was ok. The gardens were very interesting, and Ischia is a beautiful scenic place. It was very hot and humid, and my UV parasol and fan were essential. Time at the end for a beer before getting the ferry back to Sorrento. Valentine was an excellent guide. I would recommend this.

The travel to and from Ischia was fine, the tour of the island too. The guide was very pleasant and informative. I found the gardens very impressive. There was really nothing I didn't like, but suggest that it is important to stress, to those intending to take this trip, that the gardens are on a steep site and to fully explore them requires significant climbing of steps!

The trip was very good with one exception the driver taking us back to the hotel at the end of the day was driving erratically at high speeds we did not feel safe this driver needs to be told about this because it is not acceptable
