Am 19. September 2021 bildete sich in der Nähe von La Palma ein neuer Vulkankrater. Der Vulkan, der zuvor als Cumbre Vieja bekannt war, brach aus und veränderte die Landschaft westlich der Stadt völlig. Bei einer 6,5 km langen Wanderung auf dem neu getauften Tajogait - einem zerklüfteten Berg - erreicht man fast den Krater. Von hier aus eröffnet sich ein atemberaubender Blick auf die Lavaströme und das Aridane-Tal.

Guide was excellent

We wasn’t told to take warm clothing as the morning at the start point was cold, damp and very windy. You should probably advise future customers to take warm clothing. We were on a tour ran by Isla bonita tours and the only tu customers on the trip, everyone else was dressed for the conditions.

Excellent trip and hike. Advised to wear walking boots or shoes due to the terrain and something warm to wear as the temperature drops when reaching the to of the hike Missed some information on the bus back as the guide didn't have a microphone.
