After being picked up and meeting your guide and fellow travellers, you'll embark on a journey to Ninh Binh, taking a short break halfway for refreshments.
Upon arrival at Hoa Lu, the ancient capital, you'll have the opportunity to explore the temples of the Dinh and Le Kings from the 10th century. As you admire the architecture nestled between limestone mountains, you'll learn about Vietnam's feudal dynasties. Following this historical exploration, you'll head to Tam Coc, enjoying a scenic drive through rural landscapes adorned with rice paddies and karst formations.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, where you can savour a Vietnamese buffet or set menu, with vegetarian options typically available. After lunch, prepare for a peaceful boat ride along the Ngo Dong River in Tam Coc. You'll be captivated by the limestone cliffs, caves (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, Hang Ba), and rice fields. Interestingly, locals row these boats using their feet!
For those who are interested, an optional bicycle tour is available. This easy ride takes you through the countryside, passing villages, buffaloes, and vast rice fields. Finally, as the day draws to a close, relax during the journey back to Hanoi.
