Secrets of the London Underground small group experience

The London Underground, or the Tube as it's more commonly known, isn't just a transport system - it is an icon of London. With more than 1.3 billion passenger journeys made across its 270 stations each year, it's become the lifeblood of the city, and this tour promises to show you how. You're sure to see London from a whole new perspective!

Beginning with the construction of the Thames Tunnel in 1843, the world's first tunnel built underneath a river, the 175-year history of the London Underground is an eventful one full of world-firsts, stories and urban legends. You'll begin at the historic Baker Street Station, one of the original stops on the Metropolitan Railway, the world's first underground railway.

During the walking tour, your expert guide will bring the fascinating history of the London Underground to life and tell you the story of the Tube's evolution. You'll even hear some spooky stories as you travel through London's oldest and newest stations. Find out which stations are supposedly haunted by the ghosts of a murdered actor, a Pharaoh's daughter and even a nun!
