More than 360 stalls cram into Teguise's pretty plaza and cobbled streets on market day. So, shoppers will be spoilt for choice with this half-day trip to the island's most popular Sunday market. Expect tables creaking with local foodstuffs, jewellery, paintings and handicrafts. What's more, it's all given a carnival atmosphere by Canarian dancers, hair braiders and panpipe bands.

Our pick up at 9:40 from Costa Teguise was noted as being “ LOS ZOCOS SIDE BUS STOP”, however this is completely incorrect as the pick up point is actually opposite the Los Zocos hotel - so very confusing. We had a very short transfer from here however and were at the market from just after 10 until 1pm. We didn’t manage to see the whole market but we were glad we had an arranged transfer as the queue for the public bus back was enormous.

So, what a waste of money. Took over an hour to get there on the coach... the guide would not stop talking and made us behind. He talked the whole time and his English was absolutely terrible. We didn't understand a thing he said. We had 1 hour anf 40 mins to look round. Nowhere near enough time! And then a hour home with the guide talking non stop and it was honestly like the rambling of a drunk man. Horrendous! The top part of the market is your normal replica tat, the square is much better

Too cold on the coach as aircon was on full. And way to many pick ups at different resorts

The bus we were picked up in on the outward journey only had a few downstairs seats. We were lucky to get 2 of them as my husband has a bad knee. However there were quite a few elderly passengers struggling to get upstairs on the double decker. The guide was very helpful and friendly. His commentary was very informative. He was great at keeping us informed when the bus broke down on the return journey. He was very professional. The time at the market (nearly 3 hours) was perfect and as expected.

The market and town were lovely to walk around and it was good to know transport was arranged as the public buses were so busy, I wonder if you might be stuck for a while to get back if you used public transport.
