A guided tour will give you the lowdown on its long history – it's believed to have been settled some 4,000 years ago – as you wander through winding alleys lined with whitewashed homes and bursts of colour from flower-filled balconies. Then, slow things down in the spacious zoological reserve, where giraffes, big cats and crocodiles roam. It's a mix of film, live action and wildlife, with time to explore how you want.
