On this tour, you’ll discover the beautiful villages of Sintra and Cascais, both located in an area of protected natural beauty.

First, you will drive to Sintra Hills, home to fairytale palaces and castles. You’ll see the Pena Palace, considered one of the most beautiful castles in Europe where you’ll admire views of Lisbon on the horizon from its balconies.

Then, you’ll explore the picture-postcard village of Sintra, stopping on the way to taste the local pastries. Next, you’ll continue to Cabo da Roca to stand at the westernmost point of mainland Europe.

You’ll travel along the coast road, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Tagus River to stop at the fishing village of Cascais.

Finally, you’ll return to Lisbon along the magnificent Avenida Marginal, enjoying views of the Estoril Coast along the way.

Adrian, our guide, was very good, very knowledgeable about the area and made the trip fun and interesting. Pena Palace, Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais were all great places to see. They were really busy places but it didn't interfere with our enjoyment. There was a lot more walking than I anticipated, especially uphill and on uneven ground but it was manageable and our guide was helpful as were our fellow travellers.

Our tour guide Jen was fabulous and really made this a great experience. She looked after us so well and managed to engage with each group member although we were quite a diverse group. The sites we saw were memorable and learnt a lot about Lisbon.

They didn’t pick us up at our hotel so we had to get a taxi to Sintra and meet our guide there so it was a bad start to our trip and very stressful

Our Nuño was excellent. He was knowledgeable, friendly and enhanced the trip with his enthusiasm and pleasant manner. 10/10 for Nuño

We had a wonderful day exploring Sintra and the views along the way to Cascais. The gardens at Sintra were beautiful. Our guide Nuno was very knowledgeable and very patient. We had a mixed age group party and some were slower than others but he accommodated them. Would recommend this tour.

Adrian, our guide, was very good, very knowledgeable about the area and made the trip fun and interesting. Pena Palace, Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais were all great places to see. They were really busy places but it didn't interfere with our enjoyment. They didn’t pick us up at our hotel so we had to get a taxi to Sintra and meet our guide there so it was a bad start to our trip and very stressful
