Combine culture and nature on this tour to Silves and the Monchique Mountains. The capital of the former Kingdom of the Algarve, Silves is a pretty maze of whitewashed streets under a red fortress and two-tone cathedral. Enjoy free time here before heading to Foia, the highest point of the Monchique Mountains, for liquer tasting and some more free time to grab lunch or take in the sights.

It was an enjoyable day overall, although things felt a little rushed would have liked more time in Silves and also the pick up point wasn’t very clear. However, we did have a very enjoyable day. And the guide was friendly and very knowledgeable.

Die besuchten Orte waren sehr nett anzusehen. Der Guide hat versucht die Erläuterungen in drei Sprachen zu geben (Französisch, Englisch und Deutsch) Es wäre besser gewesen, bei einer (Englisch) zu bleiben. Das Deutsch war sehr holprig und nicht wirklich gut zu verstehen. Er kam mit den Uhrzeiten für Treffen am Bus durcheinander. Das führte dann auch zu Missverständnissen. Uns fehlte dadurch etwas Zeit um die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen. Besonders Mobil war der Guide auch nicht.

Ein toller Tourguide! Man sollte aber englisch sprechen, war aber so gewählt von mir. Schöne Stopps.. leider war das Wetter schlecht - aber dafür konnten mal keiner:-)

To long to be in both places with not enough to fill the time allocated. In Silves went to the only available cafe for the time of day to wait over an hour for a meal that we had to cancel as not enough time to eat it before departure.
