The tour started well with the guide giving the history of the medina and mosque. However, as soon as you are taken into the souks, you’re essentially just taken to prearranged shops where you’re expected to purchase something - that was very disappointing. Clearly, the guide must receive some kind of commission for each purchase made.

The guide was friendly enough and knowledge was interesting. What I did not like was being led to a shop and having the pressure selling, making us sit and drink tea, we felt very compelled to buying products which weren’t very good value. Was the guide getting commission for this? £25pp just seems a lot for a guided walk and 20 minutes only to roam shops. Since returning we read the reviews on the shop we felt pressured to buy in and it has nothing but bad reviews for scam prices.

The tour guide was clearly only taking us to places where he had an agreed commission for shopping rather than truly showing us round. The only part of the souks where we were able to shop was where he knew everyone and the prices were through the roof, and the driver who picked us up from the hotel (who was lovely) had warned us beforehand that this would be the case. We then spent barely any time in Jemaa el-Fnaa square as he rushed to end the tour, so my we stayed behind and got a bus home

Thank you to our guide who looked after us, informed us of local customs, sayings and religious knowledge. A brilliant start to our holiday.

It was conducted at a little bit of a pace,, although I do appreciate that there is a lot to potentially fit in!

A good introductory tour. We covered a lot of ground but lacked depth. Your through city was very rushed until we got to pharmacy and shop stop. We did however receive more time out than expected. It was a useful introduction and would give confidence to return independently
