Yes. This tour is operated by TUI Destination Services Morocco with a professional local guide. The cycling is guided through the Medina at a gentle pace. The Agafay Pearl Camp is an established property, and transport is in an air-conditioned vehicle throughout. The group is small, with a maximum of 9 participants. Minimum age is 13.

What happens to my hotel booking?

You'll skip one night at your Marrakech hotel. Let your reception know you'll be away. There's no need to cancel your booking. You'll be back in Marrakech by around 4 pm on day 2.

What is included in the price?

The price covers hotel pickup, air-conditioned transport, the guided Pikala bike tour, one night at Agafay Pearl Camp, entrance fees, and three meals: dinner on day 1, breakfast and lunch on day 2. Additional food and drinks, travel insurance, and tickets to other attractions are not included. Optional activities in Agafay are at extra cost.

What is the best time of year to visit?

October to April is the most comfortable time for this tour. The Agafay Desert gets very hot in summer, and the Medina cycling is more pleasant in cooler months. Spring brings saffron blooms at the estate, making it a particularly good time for the Ourika visit.

Do I need to be fit for this experience?

Moderate fitness is helpful. The Medina cycling covers several kilometres through busy streets and alleys at a guided pace. No off-road cycling is involved. The rest of the tour is vehicle-based or walking at a gentle pace. Comfortable clothing, walking shoes and a warm layer for the Agafay evening are recommended.

Experience three very different sides of Morocco on this two-day adventure, from the energy of Marrakech’s Medina to the silence of the Agafay Desert and the green landscapes of the Ourika Valley. Cycle through the winding lanes of the old city with a local guide, spend the night surrounded by the rocky desert as the sun sets, and visit an organic saffron estate where you’ll learn about one of Morocco’s most prized spices. Limited to a small group of no more than nine people, the cycling experience is led by a local guide through a social-impact initiative supported by the TUI Care Foundation.

Agafay Pearl Camp sits in the rocky desert landscape outside Marrakech. You arrive around sunset, when the open terrain shifts colour as the light drops. After dinner, traditional Moroccan tea is served outdoors. The tent is your bed for the night, with the desert environment on all sides. By morning, the camp is quiet enough to hear the landscape wake up.

Your Moroccan adventure begins in the heart of Marrakech, where you’ll swap busy streets for two wheels and explore the city from a local perspective. After pickup from your Marrakech hotel or Menara Airport at around 2 pm, join your guide for a Pikala bike ride through the Medina. Cycle through lively streets, tucked-away alleys and everyday neighbourhoods, gaining insight into local life while supporting a social-impact initiative backed by the TUI Care Foundation. Later in the afternoon, leave the city behind and head towards the Agafay Desert, arriving at camp as the sun begins to set. Watch the rocky landscape transform in the fading light before enjoying dinner at camp, followed by traditional Moroccan tea under the open sky. Finish the day by settling into your tent for a night surrounded by the quiet of the desert.

Wake up surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of the Agafay Desert and enjoy a relaxed start to your second day. The morning is yours to spend as you wish, whether that means taking in the views from camp or joining optional activities such as a camel ride, quad adventure or buggy excursion. Around 10:30 am, leave the desert behind and continue towards the green landscapes of the Ourika Valley. At Paradis du Safran, an organic saffron estate, discover the journey of this prized spice through a visit focused on nature, cultivation and local knowledge. After exploring the estate, enjoy a locally inspired lunch featuring saffron before returning to Marrakech, arriving at around 4 pm.
