Marrakech City Tour with Dinner Show

4.2/5
52 reviews

Sitting in the shadow of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech is a rich tapestry of spice-scented souks, street magicians and steaming food carts. You'll visit top sights such as Jemaa el-Fnaa, the Koutoubia Mosque and the Bahia Palace.

From Agadir, we'll travel to Marrakech by coach. Kick off with a visit to the outside of the architecturally significant Koutoubia Mosque, a medieval masterpiece that's the city's most recognisable landmark. You'll then head to the Bahia Palace - another outstanding example of Islamic art and architecture. After lunch in the opulent surroundings of a riad, you'll visit Ben Youssef Madrasa and then venture into the maze of souks for a guided tour around the medina. As part of this tour, we offer a shopping stop, where you can indulge in the city's vibrant shopping scene. This is an optional stop and can be customized to your preferences.

Next up is the pulsating Jemaa el-Fnaa square – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The life and soul of the city, you'll have free time to explore, shop, sample some street food, or just soak up the atmosphere of this bustling area. We round off with a dinner show featuring traditional dance and music. Then there's free time or the chance to explore the nighttime excitement of Jemaa el-Fnaa with your guide.

The tour was 17 hours in total and was in the whole good, including the food - however the group size for the tour was too large... we spend too much time constantly waiting whilst the guide checked numbers to ensure no one was missing - felt like a school trip. Also, we had over an hour long hard sell at a "Berber apothecary" - this was unacceptable as there was a obligation to buy, and it took almost 20% of the time we spent in the city - we wanted more time to explore on our own

Unfortunately, this was my weakest TUI excursion — not because of the tour, but because of the guide, Abdelhadi. The bus was almost 40 min late and no confirmation was sent, so I even wondered if the trip would happen. In Marrakech he spoke very quietly, focused only on one or two people and ignored the rest. He seemed far more interested and energetic when stopping at local shops, where it was quite obvious he had personal arrangements. A guide like this kills the mood.

Great experience, guide was very informative and interesting. We saw the real Marrakesh, not just a polished version for tourists

The guide Rashid was great, funny, made sure you were all ok, very informative and made an effort to remember all our names. The food wasn’t the best, however overall a great day and experience.

The Bahia palace and Madrassa were great. Too much time in the souk and on our own - it was so hot we just sat in a cafe. I wish had been able to go to the Saadian tombs and or Marrakesh museum instead.

Our Guide Abdel was amazing, he was extremely knowledgeable, he explained everything in at least 3 languages, which takes some doing. He informed through out the day what was happening next and he went above and beyond with everyone on the trip. He made it fun and a long day really enjoyable, he mixed with everyone in the group, chatting and explaining things . I felt very safe and well looked after. If you wanted to have some free time that was given, or stay with Abdel.Wonderful Guide
