The magic art of glassblowing

An unforgettable experience that will open your eyes to the fascinating world of manufacturing and glassblowing art. You will have the opportunity to see a glass craftsman creating a unique item right in front of you, demonstrating and explaining the ancient technique and phases of production. You will discover this ancient art created by the Romans who, on the run from barbarians, established the city of Venice.

You may feel the warmth, the smells and the sounds of the furnace and you will see the clever hands of the artisan mold the glass in front of your eyes which, just like magic, will be transformed into a unique object. Thanks to the work of a millennial artisan culture that has been handed down from one generation to another, the glassblowing art is now recognized today as a worldwide symbol of beauty.

Venetians use glass to mold many daily items such as: cups, glasses, dishes, mirrors and lamps. This art of molding glass into all these versatile items was one of the most safeguarded secrets in the Venetian Republic.

You will live this experience in Saint Mark's Square in an old Glass Factory Showroom where you will see objects being made with glass.

At the end of your experience you will be given a little glass gift for each couple or each family, as a souvenir of this visit.
