Meet your guide in Ferla and with your vehicle, following the guide, you will arrive at Sella di Filiporto, one of the entrances to the Pantalica Oriented Nature Reserve. Following an ancient mule track, you will reach the Byzantine village and the Oratory of San Micidiario completely dug into the white rock. You will drive, always following the guide, to the Prince's Palace, the Anaktoron, a megalithic structure dating back to the 13th century BC, of which only a few ruins are visible today.
You will then continue by car to another entrance to the Nature Reserve. You will visit another Byzantine village and its oratory, the Church of the Crucifix, where you can admire a Byzantine painting depicting Christ on the Cross. Thanks to your naturalist guide, you will discover some of the 700 species and subspecies of plants that inhabit these fascinating places. Continue along the rocky path until you reach the clear waters of the Calcinara River, the perfect spot for a refreshing swim.
