Small cobble streets, sea air and a chocolaty dessert – you can expect all three on this tour. From Tropea, you'll head to Pizzo and make your way down to the Piedigrotta cave-church, where faith and folklore are carved straight into the rock. Back in town, you'll wander Pizzo's old streets on a guided tour, pausing for stories and photo opportunities at coastal viewpoints. Then comes the sweet part, a live Tartufo di Pizzo demo and tasting. After you've had your fill of this chocolate truffle treat, you're free to wander and settle into Calabria at your own pace.

Die Höhlenkirche war sehr interessant, es wäre aber nett gewesen, wenn vor Ort die Figuren erklärt worden wären und nicht nur während der Anfahrt pauschal erwähnt. Der Besuch in der Eisdiele wirkte ein wenig unorganisiert, auch haben wir nur zufällig erfahren, dass man außer den klassischen auch ein anderes Tartufo wählen kann. Gut war, dass noch etwas Zeit blieb, um den Ort auf eigene Faust zu erkunden.

Der Ausflug war zeitlich vollkommen angemessen. Etwas mehr Zeit in Pizzo wäre schön gewesen, da die kleine Stadt einen tollen Scharm hat und ein paar schöne Lädchen zum schlendern einladen. Die Besichtigung der Grotte war beeindruckend, und das Tartufo Eis das Highlight am Ende. Die Empfehlungen von Reiseleitung. Uschi möchten wir besonders hervorheben. Sie ist sehr angenehm in ihrer Beratung und hat ganz tolle Hilfestellungen gegeben.

The tour was very interesting, the main problem was trying to understand the guide who was Ukrainian and it was difficult to understand her English. This tour is very physical with many steps and steep hills to climb, the Guide also did not take into consideration that some of the people where older, and couldn't keep up with her pace. The Ice-cream was delicious and much needed on a very hot day
